Prices, Prices, Prices? Can be a common question when purchasing something and of course you would want to know how much something costs before you buy it. Well, what does it cost to hire a Virtual Assistant? Is it very expensive, is it an arm, a leg, a foot with the toe nails included? No, it is not as much as you think. Hiring a V A is a cost- effective solution for business or projects.
When you first look at the prices of a Virtual Assistant { V A }, it may seem high but remember a VA is a business owner & independent contractor who doesn’t cost overhead like a regular employee. Well its not a 99 cent store either, lets be realistic, you can’t always get something for nothing. When you are doing business things cost whether its low or high. If you do a cost comparison between a regular employee and a VA then you’ll see the difference. Most Virtual Assistants on the average charge between $30 to $75 an hour ( more or less).
Once you consult with a VA you may even consider doing business with one. After working with VA you will see the benefits and maybe even say “Wow, where have you been all my life?”, “I’ve found a miracle for my business or projects.”{ ha ha ha} Provided that you choose the right one for you. Well if you mostly focus on price and not look for quality then who knows what kind of service you’ll get. Don’t get me wrong who on this earth doesn’t want a bargain? You can always compare prices or compare prices & services.
If you mostly focus on finding a cheaper price then thats what you’ll get, cheap price =cheap service. Some VA’s offer discounts on some of there services, just ask one. Sometimes there is nothing wrong with lower prices do what is best for you, work with whats in your budget. Look at the value of the quality of work that you will be given to your business or projects by hiring a Virutal Assistant.
You may find a service that charges cheaper than the average hourly cost of a VA but think about the quality of the work that you will want to expect. You’ll end up with a cheap commodity and not a valuable professional service. Lower prices may be a temptation or appealing to go after. Some people who shop for lower prices don’t understand the Virtual Assistant model and value of their work. Low prices and slashing prices diminishes the VA industry then makes people think that cheap prices are common for VA’s. If you want cheap prices expect them from an inexperienced VA, people who produce substandard work, remote workers, free lancers and some virtual staffing companies.
The prices of Virtual Assistants { VA’s} vary according to the service that they provide. Many customers/ clients are happy to pay at the standard hourly rates of $30-$75 an hour because they understand and appreciate the value of a VA. Sometimes a Virtual Assistant has individual services that you can purchase. If you have a concern with paying at the standard rates of a VA then a VA may not be the help for you. You can always seek out a VA with cheaper prices. You may want to find a temporary service or a staffing service for cheaper prices. Sometimes you may think that you are getting a bargain but you may not get a bargain. You get what you pay for.
Virtual Assistants are not your employees and don’t work for a staffing service. You must understand what a VA is and what a VA is not. Check out my post on What is a Virtual Assistant. A tried and true Virtual Assistant does take a serious and active interest in your business or projects. Once you add up the cost of working with a VA, then you’ll see how VA is a cost-effective solution to your business or project needs. Don’t let the prices alarm you.
When seeking to do business with a Virtual Assistant, don’t ignore a new VA because prior to becoming a Virtual Assistant many of them have already had training and experience. Have a consultation with a VA to get a better understanding. Do some research, take your time to find a VA that’s right for you and obtain their services. Sure you can find and work with a VA or staffing service who charges at $10 an hour or less, most of them are from foriegn countries, bad communication skills and english grammar. The prices of a VA are that way because they only charge for the hours worked or by the task completed. A Virtual Assistant can save you time and money while assisting you with your business or projects.
